2025 Holidays at USH

Checking things out today. Anyone know when the lower lot AP Grinch tends to meet?

I believe it’s after 12 pm but not sure when he stops but think around 4 or 5 pm

Also check the line when you go there, I heard yesterday it was insane

There’s a major storm and flooding situation across Southern California right now, including Los Angeles, with flash flood warnings, heavy rain and mudslide risks in effect through Christmas Day and beyond. I know that Six Flags Magic Mountain, Knott’s Berry Farm and Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood were closed on Wednesday, December 24.







Also Disneyland closed early



But at this moment there are no credible reports that Universal Studios Hollywood or Universal CityWalk have been closed specifically because of these current flood warnings.

USH was open and there wasn't much rain after 4PM.

I've gone a few times in the past week

Christmas eve in the morning had no lines on anything but the Grinch, his line was maybe 30ish mins and everything else was a walk on and he was meeting with Cindy Lou for most the morning


I went last Friday night and the rain was pretty much done when I got there. I saw the Grinch Tree lighting like 2.5 times with not much crowds, I saw the castle show 1.5 times (no crowds)

I also went yesterday and there were crowds but I roped dropped and got on Jurassic, MK (single rider) and SLOP within 5 mins of getting in line or less. The day time grinch shows when I went got some crowds but nothing insane most people were on rides

I will note on thing I'm not a fan of still is during this season which is packed they still dont open SLOP, minions area until 10 AM....I assume its to save on staffing and money but think during peak summer days and grinchmas days it would help to have this area open when the park does

Last update for the 2025 Season

Went yesterday got there around 11:30 AM, easy to get into the park. Mostly on and off little rain for most the day with a 30 mins period at night being more of a down poor but overall with a Rain Jacket it was not a bad day

After the sunset even Mario Kart was at mostly 20 min waits

Lots of characters were out yesterday and staffing was great, because I assume they thought people might still come. Sadly for the park it was mostly walk on rides most the day with some exceptions but for guests this was a peak day. Characters are out, extra shows are happening and rides have little to no wait plus the hours were great with the park closing at 10 PM

The Frog Show was inside the HP castle Q, when I saw it, not much room for people to see if you can push against a rail to watch it or were told to move on
Props for Universal doing this, Love how many B modes they have to keep the show going.

Walked on the Studio Tour, NY is still down and seems like it will be for a while. The Jamaji sets are cool and no idea why but I heard people in the park saying they were for Fan fest...who the heck is spreading that? As far as we are aware it was for a movie

Watched WW twice, amazing as always

SLOP, Jurrassic and Mario Kart are all in great shape

I had the Grilled Cheese at the Minions restaurant...the soup was cold the rest was fresh and very hot

The castle show had low crowds but is great as always

I watched the last of the Grinchmas day time shows

I also saw the last 2 Tree Lightening and the last show had TM's (off the clock) there to celebrate the end of the season and was a very loud so with many people cheering and lots of improve from the entertainers

Thanks to the Team Members for all its hardwork and having to work in all this rain

It was a very good season, and had a wonderful time. I hope one day we can find a way to fit the Dreamworks theater into this event because it just gets no lines and feels like a perfect place to add some sort of show even if only after dark
