The Future of Lost Continent (Poseidon Fury closing May 9)

Hoping its just a simple ride system with real high capacity. It's getting old with some of these overly high tech Disney & Universal attractions having so much down time and low capacity. Basic systems can be entertaining and fun too. Not everything needs to be an innovative technical marvel.

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit

I'm not a great fan of outdoors unthemed coasters in 'theme parks'. Generally, I like them better as an indoors theme coaster. But it's good to have one, or two, outdoors for the kinetic energy they supply to the park. Hopefully they have at least minimal theme.

    Comcast First Quarter 2024 Report

All the discount deals from WDW and USO kind of confirm that bookings are soft. USO gets a lot of locals, especially on every Saturday. They'll need Central Floridians to show up to salvage the summer. Too late to get tourist bookings for Dreamworks/Parade/Night Show without an opening date...

    Comcast First Quarter 2024 Report

This is actually now 5 straight flat or down quarterly reports for Orlando. Hollywood and Nintendo seem to be carrying the US end. I'm guessing results will get better for Orlando once they open Dreamworks/Parade/Night Show. USO especially really needs refreshed. The Minion attraction is lots of...

    Comcast First Quarter 2024 Report

What's also troubling is that Easter was early in 2024, which generally helps first quarter theme park attendance. With that in mind, second quarter has a chance to be very soft. USF really needs to get Dreamworks, Parade, Night Show to open if they want a decent second quarter result. If that...

    Comcast First Quarter 2024 Report

This is probably the weakest Comcast Theme Park Quarterly Report (Excluding covid time) that I can recall. Adjusted 2024 EBITDA was down 3.9% from the first quarter in 2023. (In Millions) 2024 $623 vs, $658 in 2023. Comcast report says it was due to higher operating expenses mainly attributable...

Sounds like Zelda is fairly solid for LC.....,but the timetable has been slow

    Sapphire Falls Resort

Make sure you allow time for Strongwater Tavern. Best bar/restaurant at Universal. Also, very interesting unique small plate menu. We usually order three entrees which is plenty food for the two of us. Outside seating on soft sofas, overlooking the lagoon, is a must if the weather is nice.

    and....great humor too

    Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit

It's seasonally used for Grinchmas now.

    Special Pixar Restroom....No doubt. ;)

    Future of Toon Lagoon

They have LC to redo next. That will be a major project. I would doubt there's anything substantial, like a retheming of that whole Toon area, for a pretty long time.

    Future of Jurassic Park (IOA)

There were a couple comments earlier on the Misc. refurbs thread, or one of those minor threads, I forget which thread exactly. .Brian said there's an issue with the attraction. It's not cost cutting.

Universal Studios Florida New Nighttime Show (2024)

Yes, this is REALLY needed for USO. It seems very lacking now without any festivals running. Dreamworks, new high level parade, new lagoon show will elevate the park to a decent level.

    Spider-Man getting HD Upgrading

Plus it's pretty reliable. Not many extended breakdown issues, which so many of the newer E tickets seem to experience.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge (Disney's Hollywood Studios)

Even though there has only been a few characters strolling around Batuu every time I've been there, those few have been mobbed by guests. So, I believe Batuu, which seems lifeless at times, would be well served by bringing the characters that people know and like, into the land.

Walt Disney World Tech News & Discussion- Magic Bands, Genie+, and more

It'll be interesting to see what the Lightning Lane lines for D/E ticket attractions will be in another month once Disney's crackdown on Disability line access fraud starts. Supposedly the lightening lines for D/E attractions were comprised of about 80% disability passes (according to Touring...

New Parade at Universal Studios Florida (Rumor)

Straight from the ape's mouth.....Kong refused to be in the parade since USF management wouldn't let him wear his 3D glasses. ;) :D

Tiana's Bayou Adventure (Opening Summer 2024)

Outside reminds me of the inside of Navii Journey.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure (Opening Summer 2024)

It's going to be so beautiful, that even if you don't ride it, you'll be able to enjoy it's aesthetics. A definite plus for the park's look.
