Maybe the most anticipated ever among 'Nintendo' Theme Park enthusiasts.

Fair lol, I see plenty of coverage of this outside of those and these circles though, plus is anchoring an expansion of UOR, so I didn’t know if I was being totally in my own head or if others feel the same.

There's been a number of theme park attractions and/or lands that have been strongly anticipated over the years. This is one, but still just one of many.

Don't know why everyone is in a hurry to watch a POV of it. I understand the need for it, but experiencing a new attraction without spoilers is the ultimate way to enjoy it. Watching a POV of Velocicoaster/Iron Gwazi is much different than a POV of Rise of the Resistance or Hagrid that relies on surprising you. Not knowing what will happen next is crucial to experiencing an attraction.

Cool me off people if I’m being hyperbolic, and Covid delays impact this obviously, between that, no leaks, barely any concept art of the ride itself, is this the most anticipated ride ever amongst theme park fans? I only ask purely because we haven’t seen a single thing. Its Universals next big ride, its sorta wild. Building the anticipation for this feels just insane haha

It'll never reach Diagon/Gringotts hype levels. That was pretty crazy. Since this one is not in the US, a lot of people aren't really hyped about it. The whole covid situation is also suppressing things now. By the time it is built in the US, a lot of people will know what to expect, so it'll be tempered quite a bit.

I felt far more anticipation for RotR if I’m honest.

At least for me personally. But just due to the delay it faced, and the truly epic-nature of the attraction. I think that was the most anticipated attraction up there with Gringott’s and Hagrid.

Also helps it’s based out here, hard to anticipate an attraction we won’t have out here for a year or two still.

We're used to getting things first in Orlando most of the time

So for me, I just want to see it as I'm not sure when I'll see it in person

Forbidden Journey would like a word.

But yeah my #1 for things that haven’t opened yet has been and still is IG.

The Diagon stuff was just a unique set of circumstances behind it: Disney just barely starting to get off its ass so people were rooting Universal on, Comcast buying out Blackstone, a replacement for Jaws, big rumor mill, etc. Plus Nintendo has some big hampering effects: language barrier, social media barrier, COVID, and more.

Hell I'd argue nothing has topped the hype of Hogsmeade, Carsland, and Diagon yet - not even SWGE.

I'm not sure Disney has gotten off of its posterior. Once this moves into Epic Universe, the only reason it won't be swamped is because of all of Epic Universe and the new HP area. I would say that it will be huge in Florida.

To be clear, the sign still says not to post photos or videos until the land officially opens AND the culture is to never film on rides. So, um, don’t get your hopes up too high too fast, y’all.

I’m not but, we did get Yoshi and most of its queue, so I’m hopeful for even a freaking PHOTO of the inside of that thing lol

I mean, we got a Yoshi POV weeks ago. I think the "culture" argument only goes so far. There's always gonna be people who film this stuff, and it'll eventually make its way to the internet

Current back and forth on Themeparx from a supposed visitor, more questions are being asked, vague, makes me sus. Basically, a review that again essentially says you’re never going super fast (we know this), very family friendly, best target shooting ride in the world. Overall they liked SNW’s theming more than SWGE, food is a massive hit. Take it all with a grain of salt!

I've asked that person at Themeparx to see if Mario Kart has animatronics (oddly specific question I know), and they said that there were none (again, let's wait and see, I don't have too much of a problem with it.). Every character appears in AR. I hope that a POV comes out where someone films through the AR goggles.

See, for me as long as the AR figures are on top of mostly practical albeit projection-mapped SETS, then alright. This was hyped as a fairly practical attraction, and having it morph into another screenz ride, yes, would be a huge disappointment. I want the days where they made attractions with REAL sets and effects back! Hagrid's and VC are a start--yes I know they're coasters and even though Hagrid's replaced my all-time fave ride, whatevs, it still might be the best replacement they've ever made but I digress.
