As much as work has been done, this looks very much like it's a year out from opening.

Iger is never gonna retire. He makes too much money to just walk away without any other venture set up for him to jump to.

As Eisner showed there's a level of stagnation and crust that happens with a CEO in a creative company like this. I've always thought the FOX merger was to get some new leadership in to take over for him sooner or later.

I remember there was talk of this.

Iger is 67 and looks great for his age but he’s got to be thinking about an exit at some point. Sure making more money is great but he’s probably at a point in his life where retirement is looking like a good option but the problem with people like him is that he probably won’t be able to just retire, he’ll need something to get him out of bed in the morning.

Yeah, the problem is, when he’s tried to retire (put Staggs in his place was the plan), Wall Street flipped out because they didn’t think Staggs could handle it. So Iger stayed. I worry that a Murdoch becomes CEO.

What's the concern with a Murdoch offspring? I don't know anything about the kids' business CVs.

I do think fresh leadership from outside the company (Murdoch or not) is exactly what we need after the Iger regime.

You can hate News Corp all you want but look at what Comcast did to the Universal parks.

It’s astonishing to me that a couple cropped photos in a presentation caused so many arguments over that on the Internet. Ugh.

Of course it’s 6. It always was.

It also seems that the designated positions will have the area's lighted up for easier navigation for those who want to experience it.

By the looks of things it appears to be a much more advanced version of how Mission Space works, way more interactive.

Considering Mission Space isn’t actually interactive at all, that shouldn’t be hard.

Hmm. Disney has deleted the video from their social media platforms. BlogMickey still has a download of it that was posted to YouTube.

EDIT:
It’s back with new links directing to park-specific websites for WDW and DLR.

Well, it could be difficult to push a button when you focus on not tossing your cookies on Mission Space. I love the look of both rides. Going into a hangar with that AT-AT's at full size might prove to be one of those jaw-dropping moments that you always hope to have on either a Disney or Universal ride. I remember the first time I disembarked from Spiderman and could not get beyond "WOW!"

So Disney's calling the Resistance ride "The most epic attraction we've ever built."

It will hopefully be more than just a trackless Spider-Man with a couple of AT-ATs.

Not really sold on either attraction based on this video. Resistance looks like small world with stormtroopers. Not very
Action packed looking.

I mean it’s not like they’re going to give away anything of real worth about the ride... so I wouldn’t jump to such a rash conclusion.

The whole hyperbolic talk, the tone of the video just rubs me wrong. It's so arrogant, so look at us being amazing and let me tell that to you, let me tell you how you should feel about this.
"It will be jaw dropping and incredibly emotional" - Sure that is Potter but can we decide for ourselves please. If it is great it will happen, trust your work, don't oversell.
"It's going to be an intense and super fun experience" - Or you will get nausea and trow up in this Star Tours clone. Again let us decide if it's fun.
"One of the experiences I am sure every visitor will love" - But what if I expect my Star Wars, you know the first 3 movies, I don't recognize this place, how can I love it.
"There is nothing more meaningful and more special to build this land" - Listen to that people who are running Give Kids The World or you who is working to find cancer treatments. Your work is meaningless!

Star Wars the rise of the resistance acting from the woman looking at the window is grinch worthy.
"This attraction invites you to be a recruit of the resistance and stand up against the first order" while sitting in a 'The Great Movie Ride' like vehicle doing nothing but you will be a hero? Where is "the outcome of the attractions will have impact about how the residence of Galaxy Edge will interact with you"?
Is this another Avatar where Disney over promise and under deliver? With their overblown statements it probably will but I'm positive the general public will love it.
All I see is Star Tours 2.0 with a simple video game thrown in there and a Great Movie Ride clone with added screens all wrapped in something that almost, but not quite, looks like Star Wars.
