Atleast with Universal Orlando, they have enough to dodge some of those jokes..

Since this is the 2nd time around Orlando is getting an attraction based of the Hollywood studio tour, I would expect the Orlando one to be 1000X better than the original. Just look at Kong. However, I won't be anticipating it at all if it's just another screen attraction.

Except when Universal closes things they actually start construction right away!

Not to mention 2/3rds of these projects will open before Avatar does.

I will be very surprised if Fallon and F&F aren't open before Avatar. Fallon for sure will. F&F might be a close race.

Wouldn't F&F be the 5th time an attraction in Orlando is based of a studio tour concept?

- Earthquake
- Jaws
- Kongfrontation
- Skull Island: Reign of Kong
- F&F

Yup. The big attractions at USF's opening were all based on tram tour scenes

So say BJ, Disaster and all of San Fran get replaced by Fast and Furious, and a Los Angles themed land. That would be taking 2 attractions away and adding 1.

Do you think that they might expand the Los Angles (or whatever city they go with) deeper back into the backstage area behind Disaster and add more than one attraction?

Well, BJ isn't exactly that huge of an attraction, (as in, I literally didn't even know it existed until recently, but I just might not be paying much attention in that area) but it seems to be moving to FFL's theater for the time being anyway. So instead it'll probably just be an e-ticket replacing a d-ticket. I wouldn't mind another attraction in that area, though. If they WERE to make it a Tokyo area, maybe the Godzilla attraction that I've seen talked about could happen?

I don't mind them taking up the whole area if we get a test track style ride. But if its another simulator, I'd much rather have the Tokyo version and save space for Godzilla too.

The ride is going to be huge and take up a lot of space. If rumors hold true, we'll be losing Fear Factor instead of Beetlejuice, so I don't think anyone will be crying.

Area themed to Tokyo I'm guessing is what he meant.

Yeah, that's what I meant about Tokyo. I was just replying to the post right before mine by captainmoch and I was just saying yeah that's a good idea.

I know some people were saying this would go down end of August/early September, but I think permits would have had to be filed by now if that were to be the case. Unless they close and don't immediately begin construction, but that's not Universal's style.

It's happened before. Transformers demo started before the permits were approved.

So you're saying that Beetlejuice is going to go where Fear Factor is?

That's the rumor. I have 0 information on whether that is true or not though.

Do you guys think that the BJ and Disaster buildings will be demolished?, because for what I've been hearing and finding... the ride vehicle most likely won't be a big tram or train, but a smaller individual vehicle, maybe 4-6 riders max. So that might be a game changer and the skinny L shaped Disaster building might not have a workable layout for tracks.... Does anyone have anything on this?
