Little bit disappointing (I was not a fan of the 29 house at all), although maybe like that house, while it will be focused on the original movies, it will still feature ghosts from the new movies?

At that point though, as already said, Frozen Empire is featuring every ghost in the franchise so I'm confused on why not just have the house be based on that instead of a semi-repeat?

I mean, easiest explanation is it's easier to secure the OG Ghostbusters license versus the Frozen Empire license.

If they made it like a walkthrough version of MIB just with ghosts, that could potentially work. The big problem I had with the house was they just wanted to reenact scenes--have a main character come out and just recite a line.

Unfortunately that's most IP houses. IPs are inevitable but can we please translate them into...you know, HOUSES? If I'm a fan of a property, there's no way I'm happy just seeing scenes played out to me. Whoop-dee-doo.

while FE might end up bombing.
It won't. Especially with it being influenced heavily by the popular animated series, it will succeed.

And a movie bombing isn't really a deterrent for Universal, at least when its their own IP. They still gave us Wolfman & Dracula Untold. And Waterworld was a weird fluke of success at USH that they've cloned it in every park except Orlando.

GB 2 is severely underrated, so bring on Janosz, Viggo, and the Scoleri Brothers - all great maze material.

Doing 1 and 2 is the safer bet - if FE somehow rocks the zeitgeist, there’s always 2025 (or whatever year the inevitable sequel comes out). It would already be old hat by September - no harm in waiting another year.

I don’t get the distaste for the first GB house - it’s sins were those of every IP maze, and it was more fun than most.

I’m surprised Beetlejuice Beetlejuice doesn’t look likely - it has an ideal release date and a very popular young star who would seem to appeal strongly to Uni’s desired demographic. WB is a dumpster fire, though, so maybe it’s just best to avoid their properties.

I enjoyed the first house, so I'm not opposed to another one that'll include more elements from the 2nd film, after all, the Scoleri Brothers did appear in the first house.

Though I will say if this house does happen, it'll be interesting to see how it'll hold up over the season as that was a weakness of the first. The first three weeks the house was great, but then folks started dropping out of the cast (Allegedly, the Proton Packs were 40lbs and something Sony requested for accuracy.) and effects broke down such as those in the city scene, so it lost a bit of its luster due to that.

If we do see this, I'd like to see them do Stay Puft differently this time though.

I know there's only so much you can do with that.. but I was so disappointed with the execution the first time around.

Also.......... could this mean we hear the theme in lagoon show again?

Almost there.....

This week we will see our first spec map, just makes sense they get version 1 out before any major announcements from universal!

Prediction: Ghostbusters will be the first announcement and that has the potential for next week with the movie release.
