Great video of construction happening around Simpsons ride for the New "Springfield" area of the park.

I know this much themeing in Hollywood is almost impossible due to space but could either of these new shops pop up in hollywood? Uncle Moe's anyone. LOL

Random but a great tribute to one of the greatest rides I have ever experienced

Entire Simpsons area is starting to take shape.

The amount of detailing that is going into new Universal venues is great.

The Simpsons area hasn't opened yet and I think it's already far over rated. I applaud Universal for trying to make the land more immersive, but the architecture and look of the expansion is far from detailed or intricate. But props to Universal for investing in the park on Florida!

Im not a fan of what their doing here in Orlando, I was just in the park a couple days ago and I just refuse to walk on that side of the park. The construction pathways are a joke and simpsons is taking up a bigger space then it needs to. Also when they built moes and crusty burger, they were built on top of sidewalks pushing the new pathways to alternate location which makes the entire route just inconvenient rather than direct.

I'm one that doesn't mind construction pathways if it means we're getting something great. Look at what happened at DCA

I think what Orlando is doing with The Simpsons is great, but I don't think it'd work here. It's taking up enough room here as it is.

I really hope the DM and SSFL are this well executed.

Simpsons Expansion USF.

What a simple yet interactive part of Simpsons area. Why o why can simple things like this be done at both parks.

Here's WWoHP phase II in action.

Call me crazy, but I love how Springfield is looking over in Orlando. I wouldn't want that kind of expansion here in our park, but I'm definitely gonna be exploring that area the next time I visit..!

Just got confirmation USO is marketing in the universities as well. They have visited UCF (university of central FL) and USF (U of south Fl). They are passing out Resistance team t-shirts and doing ticket handouts on the campuses. I'm guessing this is going to be quite an extensive grand opening. I'm going to try to make the June 20th launch and get the best coverage I can for you guys but we'll see how that goes with my schedule.

Well I would say USO has a larger budget, and marketing in the central FL area is tough because the population density is lighter than southern CA. USO also has to compete with Disney world which is a week long experience compared to the 2 days USO offers.

Orlando also has an event called grad bash, I'm not sure if Hollywood has the same but its an event where they shut the park down for every high school senior in FL. This year they pushed back the days, some of which are into the summer for some students so they could have Transformers ready for the event. They are also marketing this event extensively as well as Join the resistance commercials on local television.

Yeah we didn't get quite the same level of marketing...that all sounds awesome. We have regular grad nights out here, but I don't know if USH does them like Disney, Knotts, and Six Flags do.

...I will pay you to get me one of those shirts though, no lie.

Yeah, no Grad Nite type party at USH. USO started offering it cuz WDW stopped offering I. I'm glad Disney keeps the tradition alive here.

But yeah, I wish we had a huge campaign like that over here. I think it's simply because the market is different over in Florida.

Little example: over here, Disneyland, SeaWorld and USH are at peace (for now...) and offer CityPass tickets to their competitor's parks. In Florida? They're huge rivals to each other, because they offer more equal products in Florida. Over here, you can't compete with Disneyland and Universal knows that. Personally I think even with Wizarding World it still won't be able to fully compete with DLR's two parks and futute third.

There's no doubt they'll advertise the heck out of the Wizarding World, but Disneyland is on a pedestal that no other theme park in California can reach.

I could use a "Join the Resistance" t-shirt too!
