I’d definitely say 2019 was worse. This years house is just mid to me.

This is hands down just the most meh house this year

But it draws lots of people so there is that

Just it feels like a haunted house themed to stranger things
Yes it has some “cool” effects but most are prebuilt stuff like the car moving is from last of us

I don’t hate it but it’s just the lowest on my list

Vecna is cool

Yeah definitely better than 2019. It didn’t hate it. The ending, with the giant projection of the DND “Mage” card looked absolutely awful. The tunnel scene was kinda cool because of the scale, but nothing was really happening. I liked the frozen soldiers and the one part with the demo absolutely mauling a corpse, that’s about it.

At this point I think I’m just sick of Stranger Things and everything it stands for. Like, we’re in the latter half of the 20’s and we still have to have the HHN stores flooded with plush waffles and ugly chibi versions of characters from a show that came out when I was like 9? Really?

I genuinely don’t think we’ll ever see any representation for Stranger Things at HHN ever again for the rest of time though. So I guess say your goodbyes while you can

There is a second boo hole in the tunnel but never seen it used yet

Also I thought this house was suppose to have an actor in front of it…or is the fake person in the tree?

I noticed this as well. Felt like a demogorgon should have popped out of there given the canned lines they were playing.

Also felt like the Karen Wheeler vs Demogorgon scene doesn't happen often enough; we ran through this one twice and both times we didn't get to see the scene but heard it happening before we entered and after we exited.

Other than that, if you hate Stranger Things it wasn't going to change you mind but as a Season 5 Enjoyer I thought it was good if not great. Hit the scenes I wanted to see from the season, even if I'd have rather started in WSQK, but I got what they were going for with starting at the same flashback the season opened with but that's just a nitpick.

Bummer the franchise ended on such a sour note. I watched the entire series over winter break (5 included) and it's not a perfect show but Season 4 was such a highlight (although it seems that ST4's maze was terrible). Such a mishandled IP at HHN and such a disappointing finale with an incredible setup.

Here's to "Stranger Things: Tales from '85" at HHN 2028!

Interesting thing to point out: it seems the TF Queue loop has a dedicated loop, with segments broken up by Maya Hawkes character vocally chiming in to segment music selection. Don’t know if it’s just audio from the show, or if they had her record; but it sounds like they are doing in theme music for the queue leading up to the facade.

Also sounds like they’re adopting what they’ve used with FNAF, and have absorbed a bit of the interior queue again if the overflow becomes too much.

Don't they always have a loop of music (and video) dedicated to the maze in the queue? The only thing of note is it being DJd by Robyn via "the squawk" but those are very brief interstitials. Highly doubt it is Maya Hawk, I don't think they have ever used the likeness or even the audio from the actors in the series, although I could be wrong on that. But the audio from the characters in the maze this year are very clearly sound-a-likes, especially a lookalike Eleven on screen (which I find very jarring).

The audio in Q is good but the facade is so small....how did the Weekend get a bigger house front then Stranger things?

I only heard a bit of the radio while walking past the general line, but I assumed they ripped it from the WSQK internet radio they put up around Season 5s launch, which did have Maya I believe.

I feel like the facade is appropriately sized for what the facade and scene it is trying to show and convey. Am I missing something here? I don't understand why everyone is crapping on it lol

I think mainly because it's just....kinda there if it makes sense. I think if there was some large black curtain covering up most of the house itself, I think people would be a little less harsh towards it. Imagine if the Exorcist Believer's facade was just smack in the middle of that.

That is something I wish they would do for the sound stage houses is have a black curtain cover up the rest of the house so it doesn't look so exposed.

You can't see anything from most the Q

They could have put up at least fake tress or even flat Trees on the black walls

Just not that impressive, FNAF and especially the weekend hyped you up but its just dark in that Q line mostly this year

I think it's also the very weird decision to have a horrific looking Will mannequin flail its arms like its on a noose
