Since this is an IP house, it'll have 5 actors instead of the usual 2-3, right?
Sorry for the snark, but this is SWO we're talking about...

Does this mean we can start doing speculation threads for Howl-o-Scream each year now?

The funniest part of all of this to me is that if SeaWorld got this IP, that means that Universal also could've gotten it and simply is not interested lmao.

As a huge IKWYDLS fan, I absolutely loved this house. They crushed it. It was the most scares I got in any house between that and HHN. Thanks to pulsing, I'm sure. But the fisherman was everywhere and there were some REALLY clever moments.

I did it 3x and glad I did because I was catching things I had missed on my first and second runs.

Was thinking of taking a Friday off of HHN on my next trip to do IKWYDLS, but it's a pain to Uber to there and back for a single good house.
I would still want to do all of them, but 7-12 are shitty hours to do all the houses/zones at a nice pace since it is really spread out there.
I feel HOS is more a party vibe and not as much fun solo.

Read last years reviews and now second guessing going and wasting a night at HHN, even without express. Anyone go and notice an improvement over last year that would make the event as a whole worthwhile or is just IKWYDLS the only reason to go?

If you're a fan of the movie, IKWYDLS is worth going for. I didn't go last year so can't say much about what else is there. None of the other houses were anywhere near up to par with anything at HHN except the Crawl Space was campy fun.

I would always encourage people to take some time out of the HHN bubble to explore some other haunts. Yes, it’s a United Park and their management sucks, but there’s always an effort from the creative team and scare actors to make it a memorable event. The houses are usually good for what they are and SeaWorld has been pretty good at changing the lineup from year to year (only one repeat from 2025 with the Rave Yard). Just don’t waste time with the food and drink in the park.

My mentality is if you go and are at least willing to try and have a good time in spite of the faults, you probably will. If you’re going to compare it to HHN the whole night, then you probably won’t.

Great point, don’t expect HHN and you’ll enjoy your time.

Agree with the food as well, eat a decent meal beforehand and save yourself from the poor quality/ops and high cost. It’s only a 5 hour event, definitely not worth wasting time over.
