The new store will be located as apart of the Cartooniversal Project, stated for 2018, as the new project will not only consist of a Hello Kitty based store, but also a general Animation based store, alongside the new Universal Family Center. The Project will also bring to the park, new spanish/art deco facades, to accompany the park as it is now, along with the Dreamworks Theater in 2018.

Inside Universal has previously reported of the character arriving, and that this is the first official word by Universal themselves.
