Since I know a few employees frequent these boards....

What is the policy on wearing a hat on JPRA? I was told that I would not be able to ride if I left it on. The employee, pardon my french, was an ass about it and sorta put a downer on the ride-thru.

I've riden JPRA way after that video was taken with a hat on. The problem I had with it, was that there was a boat that loaded before us and about 4 people had hats on. So where exactly is the policy applied here?

1. Unneccesary use of language. Don't do it again.
2. It's one of a few problems I've ever had with a Universal employee. I've encounted the same amount at Disney. You can find bad employees anywhere.
3. Add something constructive to the conversation next time.

I have never been told not to, sometimes reminded that I am wearing it. I usually tuck my hat in my waste band or sit on it if its a dry ride. having to get a locker for a hat is lame.

Yeah, most of the time I've gotten "Just make sure you keep your hat safe", but this guy was very adament; even after saying I usually take if off before the drop.

Did you catch his name? You can file a complaint to UO.

Yeah I caught it, but not worth the headache. As much as I thought he was a jerk, it's not like he was the worst employee I've had the chance to encounter. Just chalk it up to someone "acting big in a position of power". It's not like I always wear hats anyway.

I think this is a case of inconsistent enforcement of a policy. I'm sure the policy for no loose articles is there, just not usually enforced.

And I would totally get that if the same employee didn't allow 2 boats before with hats on.

I've worn hats before, and once I even caught a hat that flew off the head of the person in front of me on the drop

I think with the lockers, they can enforce this kinda rule. But most employees probably don't think it's worth the trouble.

I hate that they don't make the lockers at this ride free because you don't absolutely need them, but then they make you take your hat off.

Oh, alright. I had thought this was a bit more recent. I noticed that for the past week, the resort had a huge amount of park ops going about doing various evaluations. I had a similar experience at FJ because I had walked up to the attraction with my flip-flops in hand. The ground was still wet and those particular shoes slip on slick floors. I've been doing this for over a year, and always tell a TM what I'm doing with no problem.

Personally, I have to agree with previous statements about policy inconsistency. Most of the evaluations I saw this past week were on Team Member performance.
