Hands down the worst night of the year and I think it highlights some weakests to HHN in Hollywood
1) Lets start with EA wristbands, it took me over 20 mins and my friends over 30 mins to get the Wrist bands for EA because they only have two locations to pick them up and literally the front location only has one scanner for EA tickets.....We need more locations for sure or a better system
2) Lack of Shade/Ran protection in the Q space. El Nino has been talked about for over 6 months they knew the chances of rain was high for the event yet many tents are not ready for it, maybe its impossible to make make ready but the Q space just being open areas with no shade makes zero sense. Unless these areas are being used in the day time then I do not under stand why they can't have tents to shade us from the elements
3) No Dream works theater, Jurassic being closed plus F&F being locked way is just too much. I get Jurassic has to be down but they needed to find a way to make F&F apart of the event for more people even if it was a first come and then you cut the line off, whatever needed to be done. Dreamworks not being used just feels like USH a waste of space, Hamkumi Dance show, behind the scenes of Obession, something with the Universal Monsters, even just meet and greets, The space is there and just not being used really leading to just one less thing to do making longer lines else where plus just was nice to sit for 10 mins.
4) Food Lines, they have two registers for the One Wish Willow and about the same for Fortnite food. The Lines for these are insane and the items but beyond that I went in the Hogwarts restaurant and two registers open, I went to the French Street restaurant it was one person. The under staffing and how slow the food is ready is a real issue and some of it might go beyond HHN but the staffing of these restaurants to me is just low for how many people are here
Anyway, I feel bad for anyone who this was the one night they could go. It felt like a Shotshow, multiple houses reaching 3 hours at the same time and times when only like one ride was under 60 mins while everything else was above that. No idea if this was just the rain but the first three nights ran very well and last night felt like just something snapped. Also can't control the weather but yeah Killer clowns opened after 9 PM, the Terror Tram staffing was bad because of the rain and I even had a bad run of Dead, Deader and Deadest where no actors came out in the second half of the house
I know some will make excuses for some of it but the under staffing is not because of the rain, lack of shade from the elements is a choice as far as I know, not having Dreamworks feels like cost cutting. I hope next weekend is better then this Sunday. While not perfect the other days felt much better and sure most people had a nice time on the first three nights
