HHN Hollywood General Discussion - 2017

I'm digging the style of the JP maze facade. And if Murdy's fave facade is the Metro Sets one (Jigsaw), then that honestly makes me even more intrigued to see how that one will look. btw, what would you all think would be cool outdoor special effects used to compliment the facade (eg "snow" on Krampus). I remember how it was discussed earlier in the chat that it would be interesting for Blumhouse's facade to have scenes from their horror movies playing on the windows of the Blumhouse (assuming if that's the facade).

I think the angle of the picture makes it look a little smaller than the other tents, but I'd say it's probably the same as well.

I was at Universal Studios Hollywood yesterday and boarded a 6pm Studio Tour exited to see HHN construction progress. Although there was more detail of brickwork added JP Queue MAZE I still can't make out what property it could be. After that everything looked pretty ordinary until we made our way around after the experience with JAWS as we ran into two very interesting characters. There seemed to be a shoot going on with two clowns one female and one male clown. Both clowns looked fairly creepy but neither looked Hollywood Harry Nor IT . My mind then tried connecting it to Rob Zombies 31 movie but they didn't seen to match up either. Could these two clowns have to do anything with this years HHN?

No there are no Clown Terror Tram, No Clown Scare Zones, and no Clown Mazes. So probably not it probably has to do with something else.

Sad to hear since the whole last 2 carts of the tram kinda gasped when we ran into them and all they did was stare back at us as we slowly drove off. The kind of impression they made was much greater then the one they had with Norman Bates shortly after lol Thanks for the clarification!

So is this year will there be one maze up near Walking Dead (main plaza), then the walking dead and Tram and the rest down stairs/in the backlot?

This year we'll have a maze in Waterworld Queue, Parisian Courtyard (main plaza as you call it), The Walking Dead Attraction, and Terror Tram on the upper lot. The other 5 mazes will be in the lower lot (JP and Mummy) and backlot (Metro Sets, Outside of 747, Behind Backdrop)

Ohh nice its been a while since I've been to HHN seems like one more maze then the last time I went 3 years ago

What about the lower lot we're the mummy and Jurassic Park is

Potentially wrong when I say this, but I believe Murdy said that there will be only four.

He counted the tunnel as a scarezone in a sense, which; there would automatically be a scarezone on Universal Blvd and one for the Backlot.

If there isn't a Gauntlet like finale for Blumhouse (which, let's be perfectly honest; it probably will); Paris would most likely be the fourth scarezone.

.
Well earlier this year I heard 3 or (Possibly) 4 Original Scare Zones. Murdy never said 4 as I recall.

I do believe that with the Size or Pages of Blumhouse if it is truly 132 Pages which would be a Record I believe. It would use the Paris Street for more room. The Properties I know of now is Purge, Get Out, Sinister, and Ouija but I'm sure there will be more. I could see them using the finale as some type of Purge Ending.

So 3 Scare Zones
- Front of Universal
- Lower Lot + Tunnel
- Backlot
